A.    The simple past tense : S +V2 + O

B.     The past continuous tense : S + WAS/WERE + Verb-ING + O

1.      When I was reading a book, my sister entered the room

4.      Rani went to the bioskop when her grandmother was visiting

5.      Michael was swimming while Dave was drawing in her room
